Daily focus-training coupled with strong work ethics pointed toward making life more bearable for others, could turn around this age for the better. This album is beautiful. A force for good. CHOSEN

So, yeah, that cover is certainly attention-grabbing, but Whirr have the goods to back up such an intimate photo. "Distressor" is a lush, sensual EP. Just wave after wave after wave of gorgeous, room-filling guitar, accented with angelic vocals. It's late night sexy time music, for sure. mattgraupman
The title track pulled me into Slow Crush's orbit, but Tremble held me there - alongside Lull from the Hush LP and the whole of Seasurfer's Dive In, it can send me into an altered state of consciousness. The album vibrates with hints and nudges, from Slowdive twangs to a Corgan-esque chord shift, but Slow Crush are their own sound - thick, dark melodic, etherealistic soundscapes with Isa Holliday's vocals both binding the music and rising above it. One of the best bands in years. sentientpoet
A head-turning debut effort from the rising indie duo, who temper power pop's streamlined ferocity with surf rock's effortless cool. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 23, 2022
This Toronto group's sound unabashedly hearkens back to the bouncy indiepop of the Darling Buds and the Primitives. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 11, 2019
Shoegaze ist die Kunst des Dröhnens, doch „Everything Is Alive“ setzt diese Elemente nur sparsam ein. Statt Hall- und Zerr-Sounds aufzutürmen, schäumt die Musik in feinen Bläschen über.
